Education Specialist degree from Tennessee Technological University

Hello, I am Robbie Morgan.  I teach in the Exceptional Education department at Daisy Elementary.  I am a graduate of Tift College in Forsyth, Georgia, with a Bachelor's degree in education.  I am also a graduate of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, with a Masters in Education degree.  And, I'm a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with an Education Specialist degree.  This year is my 43rd year as a classroom teacher and I still enjoy it very much.  I have retired from the Hamilton County School system and I have also retired from the Whitfield County school system in Dalton, Georgia.  After all of that, my plan was to be a substitute teacher, but I was given an opportunity to return to a Hamilton County classroom and I gladly accepted the offer.   I look forward to teaching and learning new things each day.  I also look forward each and every day to helping students of all levels do their very best.

I have a son and a daughter.  My son has always loved anything that would explode.  As a child, he loved firecrackers and now, as an adult, he travels all across the United States and several foreign countries imploding older buildings.  Several years ago he was in Chile working with miners as they built shafts in the Andes Mountains.  I am very thankful that he got out of there just days before there was an earthquake.  His sister lived in Cypress, Texas, a suburb of Houston.  She is a Director for Child Protective Services and supervises eight surrounding counties.  I currently have several grandchildren in college and one in the Air Force.  The two youngest ones are still in high school.

I have become the step-grandmother of two beautiful dogs.  Ziva is a female boxer and Gibbs is a male border collie/springer spaniel mix.  I am always amazed at how much they know and the smart things they do.  They keep me very busy.  When I'm at home, it's let the dogs out, let the dogs in, let the dogs out, let the dogs in, ALL DAY LONG!

One of the most important things I have learned in my life time is this: What you do, do it well.  What may happen, none can tell.
